STATEMENT

"Painting is how I fight to understand myself — a way to make sense of the world I come from and the world I live in."

I was born from survival.

My parents fled the devastation of the Vietnam War, building a new life in America through relentless work and unshakable will. Their fight became my foundation — a legacy of grit, resilience, and quiet endurance.

Growing up, I lived between two worlds, never fully belonging to either. Art became my refuge — a place where I could turn crazy into creation, and silence into voice.

Through my work, I map the unseen struggles and small triumphs of living between identities. My work is an ongoing search for belonging, an act of transformation — from survival into beauty.
